Tropical Forest Manager

We are representing one of the world leading agricultural company that
is currently looking for a Tropical Forest
Manager to work in Ghana.
The Tropical Forest Manager will take care of all the technical
operations and production of the forest site (20 000
hectares)

As a Tropical Forest Manager you will be responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of technical operations at the site (felling,
topping, cutting, planting, trail development,
infrastructure ...)
• Ensuring the delivery of timber and logs to sawmills, operate and
control production ensuring within budget and
expected results determined by the Group.
• Supervising and leading teams (local and expatriate).

Qualifications:
• 5 + years experience of working in a similar position as a minimum
• Previous experience of working in West Africa
• Advanced knowledge of all West African Trees
• Excellent negotiation skills

Significant operational experience in managing forestry will be
essential, preferably acquired in West
Africa or in an emerging country.
It is essential that you have a deep knowledge of all types of West
African trees alongside planning and
negotiation

Compensation and Benefits:

We can pay excellent wages, two flights home per year and 60 days
holiday per year.
All insurance, accommodation and meals will be provided.
